Stockport County Association Football Club Limited in administration - update

Stockport County Association Football Club Limited (SCFC) entered into administration on 30 April 2009, with the appointment of John Titley and Paul Reeves, Directors at Leonard Curtis, as Joint Administrators.
This statement is an update from the administrators.
The sale of SCFC player Thomas Malcolm, "Tommy", Rowe to Peterborough United Football Club was agreed late yesterday, Monday 11 May.
Given the club's perilous financial position this sale has been necessary to raise the funds which will be required to pay ongoing critical trading costs, including wages.
A number of expressions of interest in the club have been made to Leonard Curtis and some very positive preliminary discussions have already taken place. We remain confident that significant progress can be made and we wish Tommy every success at his new club.
