Strategic role for Les

Manchester-based turnaround specialists Corporate Strategies have appointed Les Gordon, as their Commercial Director in a strategic move designed to bolster the business' national growth.

Based at the firm's Manchester office, Les will be responsible for building relationships with company directors across a wide range of sectors, and advising on issues including funding and cashflow.

His role at Corporate Strategies, the turnaround division of UK top-10 recovery group Leonard Curtis, will also involve driving a national expansion programme, as well as liaising with professional advisers on restructuring and refinancing matters.

Les was recruited from Cattles Invoice Finance, where he was associate director working closely with businesses to provide funding for development. Previously, he worked at Skipton Business Finance.

Les, who lives in Hale, said: "What attracted me to Corporate Strategies was the dynamism of the business, which has become a market leader in the short space of time since it was established, less than five years ago. I am very much looking forward to working with business owners and accountants as part of our director-led service."

Leonard Curtis director Paul Reeves added: "To recruit someone with Les' particular skills and experience in the commercial finance sector adds considerably to our strength-in-depth, while boosting our commitment to provide quality advice to businesses across the country.

"There will also be reciprocal benefits stemming from Les' relationships with company directors and financiers, and he will play a pivotal role in stimulating business activity among the commercial finance organisations we work with."
