Leonard Curtis Business Rescue & Recovery can confirm that Fishwick Hall Golf Club – a Preston based private members golf club – has been placed into administration, with both Mark Colman and Megan Singleton being appointed Joint Administrators on 22 November 2018.
The directors, together with a specifically appointed development committee had explored a number of options relating to further development and improvement of the club to encourage new members and the general condition of the course. In an attempt to find a suitable solution, a number of the club’s members had injected a considerable amount of personal funds to allow the continued trading of the club whilst the development options were being explored. Despite their best efforts, any development, planning or further funding could not be secured.
In a joint statement, the Administrators’ commented, ‘during the last few years, membership numbers have unfortunately declined which has ultimately resulted in severe cashflow problems and the inability for the club to continue to trade despite the tremendous efforts of both the directors and the members. The club has therefore ceased to trade with immediate effect.
The Joint Administrators are currently working with all key stakeholders to achieve a positive outcome and have requested any interested parties looking to acquire the business and assets of the golf club to make contact via email to email@example.com.
