Leonard Curtis Business Rescue and Recovery confirmed today (13th September) that after being appointed as administrators for Liverpool- based EAD Solicitors LLP (EAD) they have now concluded a successful sale of the practice to national law firm, Simpson Millar.
The sale has preserved the business, saving over 70 jobs and retaining 3,500 clients.
Administrators Julien Irving and John Titley concluded the transaction after a period of marketing.
The deal enables Simpson Millar to extend its geographical footprint into the northwest, adding to its network of eight offices across the UK and building on EAD’s strong reputation in the Liverpool market and its close relationship with a number of large trade unions.
Julien Irving commented: “The legal sector has and continues to face significant pressure that requires legal practices to reassess their business model in a challenging environment. We were pleased to enable a successful disposal of the business, made possible by the quality of the practice and its staff. The acquisition by Simpson Miller will undoubtedly strengthen the firm’s future prospects.”
Clients are requested to contact the purchaser Simpson Millar on 0151 735 1000.
