Leonard Curtis Business Rescue & Recovery can confirm that Brewology Limited – the Leeds-based brewery technology specialist – was placed into administration on 15th March 2018 with Sean Williams and Phil Deyes being appointed joint administrators.
Brewology Limited specialised in the design and manufacture of automated brewery machinery, in addition to providing ongoing maintenance services.
The business had suffered as a result of a number of contract losses which led to a build-up of a large number of trade liabilities. The directors looked to address the issues and return the company to profitability by reducing staff numbers and terminating certain loss making contracts, but unfortunately these attempts were insufficient to rectify the position.
After legal action was threatened by a creditor appropriate steps were taken to safeguard the business and the 28 staff employed.
To preserve value and provide protection the business was placed into administration and a pre-packaged sale was concluded to a connected party after a period of marketing, which resulted in the transfer of all 28 employees to the purchasing entity.
Leonard Curtis Business Rescue & Recovery is part of the Leonard Curtis Business Solutions Group (LCBSG).
