Business for sale

Project Elderflower

Parties are invited to express interest in acquiring the shares, business and/or assets of a UK-based energy technology company that has developed a proprietary hardware and software platform for monitoring distributed energy systems across grid, generator, solar and battery assets.

‍

Key features:

‍

  • Based in North West England, with established commercial activity in West Africa.
  • More than 150 systems sold, with approximately 50 sites live on recurring subscriptions.
  • Proprietary IoT monitoring hardware and firmware, cloud analytics platform and AI-based energy analysis capability.
  • Three distributors holding stock in Nigeria, five active Nigerian commercial partners and distributor presence in Ghana.
  • Well-established manufacturing and supply chain, product documentation and support processes.
  • Product development supported by multiple UK innovation programmes and significant private investment.
  • Lean core team retained across software development, product, finance, systems support, field technical support and marketing.

‍

Current commercial proof points:

‍

  • Telecom tower operator: three-site proof of concept deployed with a major African operator, completing at the end of October 2026. Management has identified approximately 700 sites of potential relevance within the wider estate.‍
  • Mobile network operator: separate five-site proof of concept opportunity pending with a major pan-African operator, relevant to approximately 2,000 Nigerian sites. Timing is not yet defined.‍
  • Wider telecom pipeline: three further tower proofs of concept pending with operators representing approximately 220 sites combined, plus active discussions with a further Central African operator with approximately 1,000 sites.‍
  • Commercial estate: four-site proof of concept completed with a major West African food and hospitality group. The customer has indicated an intention to continue and explore expansion across an estate of approximately 100 sites.‍
  • Public-sector energy deployment: ten-site deployment completed across healthcare facilities in Lagos. The customer has indicated an intention to extend the deployment in conjunction with a state government energy body.
  • Environmental markets: further opportunities pending in renewable energy certificate monitoring, reporting and verification.

‍

Opportunity:

‍

A strategic acquirer can obtain a developed, field-proven energy monitoring platform and established West African market access without replicating several years of product development, field validation and channel building.

‍

Core assets and capabilities:

‍

  • Proprietary hardware design, firmware and associated technical know-how
  • Cloud software and source code, including multi-site reporting, single-site access and a developed and deployed energy insight AI agent.
  • Intellectual property, technical documentation and product development history.
  • Customer relationships, live deployments and enterprise commercial pipeline.
  • Distributor and partner network in Nigeria and Ghana.
  • Brand, website, domains and goodwill.
  • Established manufacturing and supply chain, stock and equipment.
  • Book debts and other business assets, as applicable.

‍

Potential applications include telecom infrastructure energy monitoring, commercial and industrial energy management, generator and fuel monitoring, solar and battery estates, renewable energy certificate monitoring and verification.

‍

Core team:

‍

The business retains a lean, experienced core team comprising CEO/founder, a UK-based lead developer, fractional CFO and fractional CPO, together with three Nigeria-based staff covering systems support, field technical support and marketing. This provides continuity across product, finance, customer support and in-country delivery.

‍

Offers:

‍

  • Indicative offers are required by 12.00 noon on 7 October 2026, with a view to completion shortly thereafter.
  • All interested parties will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
