He trained at Rayner Essex in London before joining KPMG Manchester, where he led audit and financial reporting engagements for large clients in retail, financial services and broadcasting, acting as the key technical contact and managing teams under tight deadlines.
He then moved into industry as Financial Reporting Manager at Calisen Limited, a leader in the smart meter market. There, he led financial reporting across a c30-entity group structure, managed the audit and statutory accounts process, and supported acquisition integrations, purchase price allocations and due diligence for shareholder investments.
