He leads the national Members’ Voluntary Liquidations team at Leonard Curtis, assisting business owners, accountants and professional advisers across the UK. His work ranges from straightforward solvent liquidations through to complex shareholder exit scenarios involving earn-outs, deferred consideration, contingent liabilities, warranty issues, group restructures and tax-aware planning considerations.
Steve also has extensive experience dealing with matters including Business Asset Disposal Relief (BADR), Section 455 issues and solvent winding-up strategies, with a focus on delivering commercially practical outcomes rather than simply applying technical theory.
Steve works closely with accountants, solicitors, tax advisers and directors to deliver efficient, well-managed closures within realistic timescales while helping simplify what can often be highly technical and sensitive situations. His approach is pragmatic, responsive and commercially focused, with an emphasis on explaining complex matters in straightforward language and ensuring clients and advisers feel supported throughout the process.
