Sophie Smith is an Associate Director and appointment taker at Leonard Curtis in Guernsey. Sophie specialises in complex and contentious restructuring and regulatory assignments, with a focus on international asset recovery and multi-jurisdictional litigation. Sophie has significant experience in the funds wind down space, assisting listed and private funds navigate the complexities, in both natural end-of-life, and illiquid or distressed scenarios.
Sophie is a member of the Association of Insolvency and Recovery Experts and is appointed to the board of the Channel Islands’ branch of the International Women’s Insolvency & Recovery Confederation. Sophie has also been recognised as an Asset Recovery Expert in Lexology’s 2025 Index.
