The Leonard Curtis Football Finance Report is the sixth in a series of reports from Leonard Curtis on the Business of Sport. Its publication follows two editions of the Leonard Curtis Rugby Finance Report, released in 2024 and 2025, two editions of the Leonard Curtis Cricket Finance Report, published in 2025 and 2026, and the Leonard Curtis Golf Finance Report, launched in May 2026.

Leonard Curtis: Business of Sport
Leonard Curtis introduced the Business of Sport campaign to meet the need for an independently produced and validated set of financial sustainability data and professional commentary on a particular sport, all in one place.
Each report is produced by a team featuring sports finance academics Prof Rob Wilson and Dr Dan Plumley, and sports business journalist Jonathan Dyson.
Complementing the in-depth reports are regular thought leadership pieces on some of the latest developments across the sporting landscape.
In June 2026, Leonard Curtis expanded the project to launch Sport, Structured, a new podcast combining expert insight with data-led discussion hosted by former Sky Sports News reporter James Cooper. The show demystifies the financial, commercial and structural forces shaping professional sport today.
