150 jobs saved in sale of Johnson 1871 Limited
Steve Muncaster and Andrew Poxon from Leonard Curtis were appointed as Joint Administrators of Johnsons 1871 Limited on 28th January 2026.
Johnsons has traded since 1871 and operates in the domestic and commercial moving and storage sector.
The company has its headquarters in Knutsford, Cheshire and has a nationwide operation with approximately 150 employees.
Following the appointment the business was sold, same day, to Amer Logistics Limited (28th January 2026). The deal has successfully protected 150 jobs.
Administrator Steve Muncaster commented: “We are delighted to have completed a sale of this long-established business, so preserving the employment of the entire workforce, and allowing its extensive customer base to continue to work with the business.”
