Following our role as headline sponsor of the sold-out Legal Futures Law Firm Growth Summit in March, Leonard Curtis is proud to support the launch of The Law Firm Growth Report 2026.
The report takes a deep dive into three core themes shaping the legal sector: private equity, M&A, and the emerging growth models redefining how law firms scale.
New technology, new capital and new ways of thinking are driving this shift in the legal landscape, and the results speak for themselves. Law firms across England and Wales have just enjoyed their greatest level of growth in 15 years, according to the Law Society's annual financial benchmarking survey, in a sector now made up of just under 9,000 firms and valued at close to £60bn.
You have to go back to 2010 to find a year of similarly colossal change in the legal sector which is when The Legal Services Board went live and the legal aid budget was cut by £350m, to name a couple. The scale of change unfolding today echoes that moment, and this report is designed to help firm leaders navigate it.
At the summit, Andrew Gregory, Founder of Leonard Curtis Legal, shared insights from his extensive experience in the sector, while Jonathan Guest, Investment Director at Pollen Street Capital, discussed the private equity journey at Leonard Curtis following their investment in 2025.
This report offers readers a clear view of the routes now available to them, whether that's a PE or M&A journey, or a different path to growth altogether.
