Leonard Curtis keep majority of staff on in securities business
Anthony Milnes and Richard Pinder from Leonard Curtis were appointed as Joint Administrators to Forward Security Services Ltd on 30th April and have quickly secured a pre-pack deal for the business.
The company, based in Huddersfield, is a national installer of bespoke high-end CCTV and access control security solutions with customers across a range of industries.
It had been experiencing difficulties relating to a reduction in turnover last year and some HMRC debt arrears.
The deal sees the exit of the previous owner / founder and his wife and this has secured the future of seven employees who will remain in the business under new management with immediate effect.
Anthony Milnes commented: “It was the right time for the former senior management team to move on, who wanted to pursue a different avenue, and the junior management team stepped up to take the business forward. This has been appropriately handled through an Administration pre-packaged sale, which enabled a restructuring and business rescue process to be undertaken.
“This was the best result for stakeholders and has created a new opportunity for others to lead in a fresh chapter for the business,” he added.
