Leonard Curtis has launched a dedicated Funding team in Liverpool, supporting the firm's national growth strategy and reinforcing its commitment to businesses across Merseyside, Chester and North Wales.

Funding Relationship Manager, Paul Sharpe, joins Leonard Curtis from Metro Bank and will work alongside Mike Dinnell, Structured Debt Manager, and Conor Jones, Business Advisory Analyst, to build the firm’s funding team in the city.

He will work closely with the wider Leonard Curtis team in Liverpool, as well as lenders, introducers and clients, to connect businesses with the right funding and advisory solutions.

Becky Owen, Head of Funding at Leonard Curtis, said: “Liverpool is a key market for Leonard Curtis and we see significant opportunity to build on the relationships and expertise we already have in the city. Bringing dedicated funding resource into our existing Liverpool office means we can offer businesses even greater access to the funding options available to them, while drawing on the wider expertise of the Leonard Curtis team. Paul is a great addition and I’m looking forward to seeing the team develop.”

Paul Sharpe, Funding Relationship Manager at Leonard Curtis, said: “Funding requirements vary significantly from one business to another, so understanding what a client is trying to achieve is an important part of finding the right solution. My role will be to work closely with businesses and our network of lenders and introducers to understand those requirements and bring the right people and expertise around the table.”

Donna Crompton, Director and Head of Liverpool at Leonard Curtis, said: “Liverpool has a well-established Leonard Curtis team and a broad base of clients and professional contacts across the region. Adding dedicated funding expertise to that existing network strengthens the support we can offer from our Liverpool office and means funding can form part of a wider conversation when clients are dealing with growth, investment or financial challenges.”

The Liverpool launch follows the opening of the firm’s dedicated Birmingham Funding team in May 2026, which marked a further step in the firm's strategy to strengthen its funding offering and regional presence. Alison Taylor, Jas Mall and Ed Brown now work alongside the established Birmingham office to provide businesses across the Midlands with access to funding and advisory support.
