Ryan Holdsworth and Danielle Shore of Leonard Curtis were appointed Joint Administrators of The Ilkley Brewery Company Limited on 28th April 2025 and immediately secured a pre-pack sale to a third party which has preserved all eleven jobs.
The West Yorkshire craft brewery had been experiencing an extremely challenging trading period and was at risk of closure.
The business and assets were sold to West Yorkshire businessman Graham Smith in an investment deal which guarantees the future of the 15-year-old brewing business at its riverside site and the retention of all staff.
Joint Administrator Ryan Holdsworth said: “The pre-pack sale has allowed us to transfer the business smoothly and saved a valued brewing company and all the jobs. Ilkley Brewery had established a great reputation in the sector with over 100 awards, multiple export markets and extensive UK distribution. We are delighted to have found a buyer to set it on a positive course for the future.”
