Leonard Curtis Legal (LCL) has announced a senior hire, bringing former DWF Partner Dave Hulbert on board to lead its Dispute Resolution team.

Dave joins Leonard Curtis Legal following 16 years with the international law firm. He brings more than 25 years’ experience acting on civil and commercial litigation matters, including complex commercial and contractual disputes and professional negligence claims. He also benefits from significant expertise in data protection and Equality Act claims.

Solicitor Marcus Williams has also joined LCL from Giambrone and Partners in London. Since qualifying as a solicitor, Marcus has worked across a broad range of civil litigation matters, advising on a major cryptocurrency fraud, a dispute relating to a multi-million property development plus various contractual disputes and debt recovery matters.

Dave and Marcus will be supported by Legal Executive Cheryn Fisher, who joined LCL in November 2025 from DWF.

The team will support both businesses and individuals while also working closely with Leonard Curtis’ Lifecycle network, advising accountants and their clients.

Dave Hulbert, Director at Leonard Curtis Legal, said: “It’s an exciting time to be joining Leonard Curtis as it continues to grow. It has a reputation for providing clear, commercially focused advice and I look forward to leading the dispute resolution team, working closely with colleagues across the firm to deliver practical, joined-up support for clients.”

Katharine Lawrenson, Director at Leonard Curtis Legal, said: “It’s great to have Dave and Marcus on board as we continue to broaden the expertise within Leonard Curtis Legal. Dave has as an impressive track record in complex litigation which will be hugely valuable to our clients as well as members of the Lifecycle network.”

Leonard Curtis advises businesses on corporate and commercial matters, insolvency and debt recovery, and dispute resolution. The firm has grown considerably in recent years and was listed in Chambers & Partners UK within the SME category for 2026.

LCL also graced various award shortlists during the last twelve months, including the Rainmakers Awards and Insider’s Dealmakers Awards.
