Ben Powell: A year of growth through apprenticeship

Blending study with real-world impact
In just 12 months, Ben completed his Level 2 AAT qualification while applying those skills daily in our Time to Pay team. This combination of structured learning and hands-on experience accelerated his development far beyond traditional classroom learning.
Delivering results from day one
Ben embraced responsibility and has delivered impressive results including:
- Completing 67 TTP deals
- Managing £17.5m in total liabilities
- Achieving an average term length of 49 months, with the longest at 91 months
- Securing 10 TTP deals in a single month, rounding off 2025 on a high
Building professional skills and client trust
Technical knowledge is only part of the story. Ben also demonstrated professionalism and client care, earning two 5-star Google reviews which is a testament to his commitment.
Current role and responsibilities
Now promoted to Business Advisory Analyst, Ben works within our Time to Pay team specialising in creditor negotiations. He negotiates agreements that allow businesses to repay arrears over sustainable timescales, providing a lifeline to companies with short-term challenges for long-term viability.
