The UK’s leading multi-disciplinary professional services firm has appointed Gavin Snell as its first Non-Executive Chairman.
He joins Leonard Curtis at a pivotal time to help accelerate growth and to input to key areas of business operations, including technology enablement, service-line development and disciplined M & A execution.
Gavin is an experienced leader with a proven record in growing and transforming professional services, SaaS and information services organisations. He has recently led two successful PE exits having overseen significant organic growth and effective delivery of multiple acquisitions.
Leonard Curtis employs 340 professional services employees across 30 UK and offshore locations, working with SMEs, corporates and their advisers on both distress and non-distress business support strategies and has established a trusted brand in the sector.
Gavin will join an experienced executive team in CEO Dan Booth, COO David Brown and CFO Paul Birks to deliver ambitious growth targets, working with Pollen Street Capital, a fast-growing private capital asset manager, who acquired a majority stake in the firm this year.
Jonathan Guest, Investment Director at Pollen Street, said: "Gavin blends experience of working in entrepreneurial high growth environments with a larger multi-national corporate track record, which is well aligned to the needs of Leonard Curtis as it accelerates national growth and operational scale.”
CEO Dan Booth commented: “We liked Gavin from the start. He is naturally engaging and tells us he is not afraid to roll his sleeves up – proven by his outstanding track record in delivering profitable growth in previous roles. He will bring vision, energy and ambition to our mission and as well as sector, people management, M & A and tech experience which will be invaluable. We look forward to welcoming him to the Board,”
Gavin said of the appointment that he was delighted to be joining such a well-established and respected firm.
He said: “Leonard Curtis is a high-quality operation that has enjoyed remarkable success in the last 30 years, and I am looking forward to playing my part in its next chapter. I see that as providing expertise, impartiality and constructive challenge to accelerate growth with a weather eye on strong corporate governance. I can’t wait to get started.”
When not working Gavin is a family man who enjoys golf, cricket and scuba diving. He also takes a keen interest in community projects and is a registered Business Mentor with the King’s Trust.
